    • How is the OneSimCard Plus SIM card version different from the Standard version?

      The Plus version is for travelers who also wish to use OneSimCard service while in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands at much lower rates than our Standard SIM. Rates in all other countries are the same with either version.

      Plus SIM card lower voice, SMS and data rates in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands can be viewed online by choosing the country from the list.

32. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • What Is the Difference Between "Direct Dial" and "Callback Dial" calling?

      Direct Dial calling allows the caller to enter the international  call prefix, country calling code and telephone number and then be directly connected to the person they are calling. This is how you dial when using your regular mobile service. Direct Dial Calling is standard on the OneSimCard Europe & More.

      Callback calling also allows the caller to enter the international  call prefix, country calling code and telephone number. After the called number is entered, the user immediately receives an incoming call connecting the user to person called. Callback is very simple to use and allows for low cost calling on the OneSimCard Plus and OneSimCard Data & Roam. Callback does not increase the connection time. It is the same as with Direct Dial. Usage of the OneSimCard Direct mobile app hides the callback. 

33. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Do I need to activate the SIM card when my order is received or purchased from a retail store?

      Yes, you will need to activate the SIM card once the order is received.

      All OneSimCard international SIM cards and international cell phones with SIM cards are shipped inactive to prevent theft and improve security. Only the person who placed the order for OneSimCard service can activate it.

      Activation is very simple: When you receive the SIM, just log in to your account at www.OneSimCard.com and click the large Activate button you will see in the middle of the screen.

      Retail Customers: If you purchased your SIM card through an online or brick-and-mortar retail store, you should have received activation instructions inside the product packaging. To activate retail SIM cards, go to www.OneSimCard.com/Retail enter your new OneSimCard international mobile number and fill out the form to register and activate the SIM card.
34. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Can I get rewarded for referring friends to OneSimCard?

      Yes, you can! Our Refer a Friend program is available to all OneSimCard active account holders. For each friend you refer that purchases new service, you will receive $10 ($5 for rentals) deposited into your 1SIM Money Fund. The referral bonus will be received once the order for new service is placed, shipped and the 30-day return window has closed. You can then use these bonus awards to recharge your airtime or use toward any other purchases. There are no limits to the number of friends you can refer or the bonuses you can receive!

      In addition, your referred friend will also receive a 5% discount on their initial order, excluding airtime.

      To refer a friend, simply log in to your account and click the Refer A Friend link on your main account menu. You will be notified when your referrals make a purchase and will be able to track all of your referrals right from this Refer A Friend page.

      Please note: in order to be eligible for your bonus you MUST first refer your friend(s) using the Refer A Friend link/page. We will not accept any referrals verbally, via email or by any means other than submitting through the form.
35. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • How can I contact customer support?

      There are a number of ways you can contact customer support.

      However, before you contact us, we strongly recommend that you review our FAQ/Help section, as well as the OneSimCard User Guide that was sent to you with the SIM card or the phone package. If you lost or forgot the User Guide, you can download it from the Help menu of your online account. Most of your potential questions have already have been answered on our FAQ pages.

      If you still need help, here are the options:
      1. There is online live chat at www.onesimcard.com available during normal business hours.
      2. You can submit your support request or questions at http://www.onesimcard.com/contact-support/
      3. You can call us 001-617-313-8888 during normal business hours. Keep in mind that when calling from your OneSimCard enabled phone this is not a free call. New! First 3 minutes are free when calling customer support from a OneSimCard enabled phone.
      4. You can call from your OneSimCard mobile phone by dialing 096 then pressing Talk/Send. This is not a free call. New! First 3 minutes are free when calling customer support from a OneSimCard enabled phone.
      5. You can submit your support request from your OneSimCard phone by sending a free SMS to 9111. We will review your question and will reply back with an SMS to your OneSimCard phone.

      Please try to be specific in your SMS messages. You do not have to include your OneSimCard number in your SMS request. Please list a brief summary of the problem and we will do our very best to provide you with assistance.
36. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • What Are Additional Calling Options Available?

      There are many additional options available to reduce cost as well as to make it easier for callers to reach OneSimCard phone.

       
      These options are:
      • PEN - Personal Extra Numbers - Provides an option to call OneSimCard phone directly locally from 60 countries.
      • CAN - Common Extra Numbers - Provides an option to call OneSimCard phone locally from 10 countries without ordering a PEN. See Help Menu of your on-line account for details.
      • SIM VOIP - iPhone and Android App allows lower cost calling and texting over WI-FI or Mobile Data.
      • OneSimCard Connect App - Android App Makes dialing easier. Auto-correct mis-dialed numbers. Removes the callback feature on the Plus and Data & Roam SIM.
      • Skype - Allows Skype Callers to call free to OneSimCard phone.
      • Viber - Allows Viber Callers to call free to OneSimCard Phone,
37. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Can I use OneSimCard service if my phone is locked?

      Yes. There are few options available if your phone is locked to the carrier that sold you the phone.

      • Try contacting the carrier to see if they unlock it for you.

       

      • You can purchase a travel phone bundle with the SIM at

                 http://www.onesimcard.com/international-cell-phones/

       

      • You can purchase a MI-FI device with OneSimCard  SIM at http://www.onesimcard.com/international-cell-phones/. The Mi-Fi device will provide your locked Android or iPhone with mobile data over Wi-Fi connection that you can use on your phone for Voice and Texts using SIM VOIP app, as well as data for web browsing, email, GPS navigation, etc.
38. Rates and Cost Questions
    • What is the refund/Return policy?

      We do not give refunds for airtime.

      You may return an unused phone or OneSimCard SIM card within 30 days after our shipment of the item to you, provided you never placed a call to or from the mobile phone issued, all airtime is intact and the phone or OneSimCard SIM card is new condition, in the original factory carton, including all packaging materials, inserts and manuals, warranty cards (not filled-out) and all related accessories. A 25% restocking fee will be applied and shipping charges will not be refunded. Returned merchandise will not be accepted unless a Return Authorization (an RA) has been requested and issued by our Customer Support department. The RA number must be clearly written on the outside of the box in order to be processed.

      We will not refund airtime used on mis-dialed calls. If you are not sure how to dial a number in a specific country, please request support from customer service.

      There are no refunds for sent SMS messages - either it was delivered to the recipient or not. Not all SMS messages can be or will be delivered.

      We will not refund minutes used for calls to Customer Service. A call made to Customer Service will be billed at the same rate as a regular call made from the country in which you are located.

      There will be no refunds for expired SIM Cards, even if at the time of expiration your SIM Card Account had a positive balance.

      There will be no refunds for expired SIM Card Account balances should you fail to recharge your account with at least a $25 payment within ten (10) months of your preceding $25 recharge.

      There will be no refunds of your account balance if you terminate the Service.

      There will be no charge to your prepaid account if you do not answer the call back. Contact OneSimCard Customer Support for more help.

39. How To Use Questions
    • Is there any way to remove the callback ring after I dial a number?

      The newly offered OneSimCard Europe & More does not use the callback to make an outgoing call.

       

      With OneSimCard Plus or Data & Roam SIM:

      Normally, when you make a call with OneSimCard the phone will ring back within a few seconds after dialing and you will then get connected. You can eliminate this callback if you have a smarphone running Android (OS version 5 or below) by downloading and installing our OneSimCard Direct mobile app. Alternatively, you can purchase our Global Dual SIM Quad-Band GSM Unlocked International Cell Phone which has built-in software that automatically removes the callback.

      For phones using Android (OS version 5 or below):

      OneSimCard Direct allows you to hide the callback and makes it easier to make a call directly from your phone's address book.

      Once the application is installed on your phone, please run it once and then turn your phone off and back on. You will then be able to dial without receiving the callback.
40. How To Use Questions
    • Is there a mobile app that will let me recharge my account and other services?

      Yes! Our OneSimCard Direct app for the iPhone (must be jailbroken) and Android devices will let you easily access many account services, such as recharging your account, checking voicemail, ordering discount voice and text plans, and much more. OneSimCard Direct is available for download from Google Play for Android phones and from Cydia for jailbroken iPhones. Find more information in the Help section of your online account.
