It may only require the special dialing instructions below to make outgoing calls (there is no additional charge). Receiving calls is the same as with any other phone.

To make an outgoing call you may need to do the following:

Initiate your call by sending a free SMS message from the regular SMS menu (not the OneSimCard Menu) of a OneSimCard enabled phone:

      To: 9146
      Message: 00 + Country Code + Number

For example, to call to Boston USA you should go to the SMS menu of the phone and send a message:

      To: 9146

      Please Note:

      1. You can not send this SMS from the SMS OneSimCard Menu of the phone, it must be sent using your phone's standard SMS function. You will not be charged for sending this SMS to 9146.

      2. If you see on the screen that the message has not been sent, make sure that the SMS settings of your phone are correct and that the SMS Center number is set to: +3725099000

48. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Will my CDMA cell phone from Verizon or Sprint work overseas with OneSimCard?

No, unless you have a "World Phone" from Verizon or Sprint that is dual-mode CDMA/GSM. Most current smart phones including iPhones 4S, 5 and 6 offered by Verizon, Sprint, N-Telos and other CDMA carriers have GSM radio and will work when traveling abroad.

CDMA-only phones will not work with OneSimCard service. OneSimCard service requires an unlocked GSM capable phone (for example, all AT&T or T-Mobile phones are GSM). Some domestic carriers such as Verizon and Sprint use CDMA technology, while most of the rest of the world uses GSM. Check with your wireless provider or phone manual if you are not sure if your phone is CDMA or GSM.

Verizon and Sprint now offer iPhone 4S, 5 and 6, as well as some models of Samsung Galaxy phones which are capable of working on GSM networks. You can request Verizon and Sprint to unlock the GSM portion of the phone for international travel and most probably they will do this for you. Once they unlock the phone you can use OneSimCard SIM when traveling abroad.
49. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • I have an Verizon or Sprint Smart Phone ( iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, HTC, etc). Will OneSimCard work with my phone?

Verizon and Sprint now offer dual mode - CDMA and GSM phones, which are capable of working on GSM networks. You can request Verizon and Sprint to unlock the GSM portion of the phone for international travel and they will most likely do this for you. However, Verizon and Sprint usually does not unlock phones 100% - they do this partially, so you are not able to use the phone while in USA.

In such Verizon and Sprint phones you can get invalid message when inserting OneSimCard SIM or your phone does not find US networks. Verizon and Sprint unlock their phones in such a way that you can't use it in USA, but once you are out of the country the SIM will be accepted. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell the difference with this kind of unlocking if the phone is not unlocked or partially unlocked to work only outside of USA. In our experience, once this kind of phone leaves USA, it starts working.

    • Can I use a OneSimCard enabled phone in Japan, South Korea and Myanmar?

Some OneSimCard international SIM cards works in Japan, South Korea and Myanmar. However, these countries use 3G/WCDMA networks, so only phones with the specific 3G/WCDMA/HSDPA/UMTS 2100 frequency will work in these countries.

OneSimCard offers several cell phones with the necessary band for Japan and South Korea that also work in every other country where we provide service:
