I was charged a large amount for mobile data service even though I barely used data, what happened?
Each mobile data session is charged for a minimum of 10kB usage. Even if you check just one 3k email you will be charged for 10kB of usage. In some countries this can be over 30c per session, however in Europe and elsewhere it can be as little as 1c. Check all rates.
Please note: Some phones, like iPhones and other smartphones, can access data without you even knowing it if you have data enabled. We strongly recommend checking the settings on your phone or disabling GPRS from your OneSimCard account if you will not be needing data service. By default, all SIM cards are pre-programmed with GPRS data service disabled.
Does calling to a mobile phone cost more than calling to a land line?
No, it does not cost more to dial an international mobile number using OneSimCard service. You will receive the same very low per minute rate whether calling to a mobile phone or to a land line.Are there any additional roaming charges?
There are NO additional roaming charges. The rates you see listed on our Rates & Coverage page are the only rates you will be charged when making or receiving calls on your OneSimCard enabled cell phone.Are there any monthly fees or connection charges?

If you order an optional Personal Extra Number (PEN), there is a small periodic fee to keep the PEN active based on how you choose to be billed (from $1.67 per month). OneSimCard Plus Plans utilization rules:
If the data Plan is entirely consumed within the Plan time period, a new Data Plan can be purchased again immediately. You can also schedule a Data Plan for Plus SIM to activate on a future date, as well as set up automatic extension of the Data Plan.
To activate a Data Plan, log in to your OneSimCard account and go to the My SIM Cards menu. Scroll down to the Discount Plan section, select the Plan and click Activate. The cost of the Plan will be deducted from the SIM card balance. If there is not enough money on the SIM, you will need to add funds before you will be able to activate the Plan.

Discount SMS from Europe and many other countries are available with OneSimCard Universal, OneSimCard Plus, Expedition (formerly Data & Roam) and Europe & More SIM cards.
Discount SMS 100 Plan
When activated, this plan provides 100 free classic SMS messages sent from Europe to any number in any country in the world. Messages should be sent from the normal SMS menu of your phone and NOT from the OneSimCard 'Travel SMS' menu. SMS plan will be effective for 30 calendar days after the activation took place. The plan can be activated from your OneSimCard web account. Activation cost is 10.00 USD.

Yes, discount calling plans are available on select sim cards.
"Discount A" Voice Calls Plan
You can subscribe to the Discount Call Plan A for Europe (see country list below) and Turkey for just $3.99! Subscription is good for 30 days and will not automatically renew. This plan is available on the Plus and Universal SIM cards.
Once the discount plan is activated, you will be able to make calls from the countries below for only $0.15/min starting with the second minute! The first minute will be charged at the regular outgoing call rate:

PLEASE NOTE: If you activate the discount A call plan, the special rate to make OneSimCard-to-OneSimCard calls and to call the voicemail system will not be available. Activation of this discount plan will also cancel the Discount B - Bucket of Minutes to USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. How do I prevent the service from expiring?
The OneSimCard phone number has no expiration, provided you made at least 1 call or sent an SMS once every 18 months.
However, the funds on the SIM expire 10 months after your last recharge. The minimum recharge amount is $25. You can keep the balance from expiring by simply recharging at least once every 10 months. If you let your balance expire, then all you need to do to get the service up and running again is to log in and add funds to your SIM card. Automatic recharge will be canceled if you let your funds expire.
