We are here to help you get answers to your questions about OneSimCard phones and services.
How do I top up my data with eSIM?
There are two ways you can do this:
Simply go onto your web account or eSIM app and purchase a new data package appropriate to your travel needs.
How do I check my OneSimCard balance?
For Universal, Expedition, & eSIM World ONLY: Just dial 099 "Send" from your OneSimCard phone and in few minutes the balance will be displayed on the screen of your phone. Customers with iPhones can use OneSimCard Assist app to check balances and many other things.
You can always check your current balance by logging onto your OneSimCard account at www.onesimcard.com.
How does eSIM works?
Do I need to change any settings on my phone when going abroad?
Not Really. If you are planning to use Mobile Data, you will need to enable Data Roaming on your phone. Everything else in modern phones get done automatically. However, you should ensure that the APN on the device is correctly updated when the SIM card or eSIM card is enabled.Universal, Expedition, & eSIM World SIM card types:
Name: 1SIM
APN: send.ee
Leave all other settings alone
DataMax, DataMax eSIM, & IoT Track SIM card types
Name: 1SIM (NOTE: Most IoT devices do NOT have a setting/field for “Name”)
APN : OSC (NOTE: The “O” is the LETTER O, NOT the number 0)
Leave all other settings alone
Does calling a mobile phone cost more than calling a landline?
It does not cost more to dial an international mobile number using OneSimCard service on traditional cellular connections. You will receive the same very low per minute rate whether calling to a mobile phone or to a land line.
For OneSim VoIP, the cost of calling Mobile numbers is typically higher than calling landlines, but this method is still less than traditional voice calls in most countries..
You can find all rates listed on our Rates & Coverage page.
Do I need to have Data Roaming turned on for eSIM to work?
Yes. Data Roaming should be enabled on your phone for eSIM for data to work. Calls and texts on eSIM World should work with or without it.
I can make calls through OneSim VoIP. However incoming calls are going through my roaming SIM. What's wrong?
If your incoming calls are not being routed through the OneSim VoIP app then you are either not connected to Wi-Fi or the OneSim VoIP app is not active. Can I call using OneSim VoIP from countries where OneSimCard does not offer roaming coverage?
Yes. You can call from absolutely anywhere as long as you have a good Wi-Fi connection. When I make a call using OneSim VoIP the quality of the call is not as good as the quality of the regular roaming connection. Can this be improved?
The quality of a OneSim VoIP call is only defined by the quality of your Wi-Fi connection. This is the part of the connection that we can not control. Quality of the Wi-Fi connection is defined by many parameters, rather than just by the speed of the connection. With a good Wi-Fi connection the quality of the call will be similar to using our regular roaming network. How do I install my eSIM?
Before purchasing, please ensure you have verified that your device is unlocked and one of the supported devices. Installation is completed by using your phone to scan the QR code of the purchased eSIM. You may scan the QR code by displaying it on the computer screen, another device, or a printed copy.
If you’ve already purchased OneSimCard eSIM, you can see full installation instructions and access your QR code from the Recharge menu in your online account. Make sure eSIM is selected in the Select SIM Card drop down menu.
