81. Rates and Cost Questions
    • Does OneSimCard offer a U.S. Military discount?

82. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Will my CDMA cell phone from Verizon or Sprint work overseas with OneSimCard?

No, unless you have a "World Phone" from Verizon or Sprint that is dual-mode CDMA/GSM. Most current smart phones including iPhones 4S, 5 and 6 offered by Verizon, Sprint, N-Telos and other CDMA carriers have GSM radio and will work when traveling abroad.

CDMA-only phones will not work with OneSimCard service. OneSimCard service requires an unlocked GSM capable phone (for example, all AT&T or T-Mobile phones are GSM). Some domestic carriers such as Verizon and Sprint use CDMA technology, while most of the rest of the world uses GSM. Check with your wireless provider or phone manual if you are not sure if your phone is CDMA or GSM.

Verizon and Sprint now offer iPhone 4S, 5 and 6, as well as some models of Samsung Galaxy phones which are capable of working on GSM networks. You can request Verizon and Sprint to unlock the GSM portion of the phone for international travel and most probably they will do this for you. Once they unlock the phone you can use OneSimCard SIM when traveling abroad.
83. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • What is the difference between OneSimCard Universal, OneSimCard Expedition (formerly Data & Roam) and OneSimCard Europe & More SIM cards?

All 3 OneSimCard SIMs work in a very similar manner.  They all use an Estonian Mobile Number as the primary number and offer a Free US or Canada PEN for 30 days. All OneSimCards also offer many  additional features such as Global Concierge, 24/7 Live Technical Support, SIM VOIP and Apps for iPhone and Android.

The main difference between the 3 SIM cards is that OneSimCard Universal offers Voice and SMS Text Messaging in many more countries as well as lower data rates.  The OneSimCard Expedition (formerly Data & Roam) is recommended to be used in some countries where for it offers coverage while Universal SIM does not.  For some countries like Canada, Cuba, Brazil and a few others, the OneSimCard Expedition (formerly Data & Roam) offers lower calling rates.

The OneSimCard Europe & More was specially created for European travelers and offers our best calling rates to the US & Canada from the 40 included countries. Both the Europe and Universal SIM cards offer easy Direct Dialing in 40 and 75 countries respectively, while OneSimCard Expedition (formerly Data & Roam) utilizes callback. Universal SIM offers callback dialing in those 130 countries which are not covered by the Direct Dialing. Callback dialing does not make it more complex for the caller, except for pressing the Talk button on the mobile phone twice instead of once when making a call.

OneSimCard Universal, Plus, OneSimCard Expedition (formerly Data & Roam) and OneSimCard Europe & More also operate on different networks in many countries.

You can compare rates for all these SIM cards here.

84. Rates and Cost Questions
    • How much does it cost someone in the US or Canada to call to my OneSimCard cell phone?

Many U.S. and Canadian carriers can charge more than $3/minute to connect to an Estonian mobile number, the primary mobile number for a OneSimCard global SIM card. Your SIM card includes a U.S. number which will be much less expensive for people to call.

Callers can also use one of the Common Access Numbers (CAN) that we provide to you free of charge in more than 10 countries. Your OneSimCard account will simply be charged an additional 20c/min to the incoming rate in the country you are in to receive those calls. There is also the option of ordering a dedicated Personal Extra Number (PEN) in Canada and many other countries that will forward all calls directly to your OneSimCard cell phone. You can see the list of countries where PENs are available here:

You can order a Personal Extra Number when placing your order or later at any time by logging in to your account. Visit our Rates & Coverage page and choose any country to view all rates.

If you would prefer for the caller to pay for calls made, we recommend they buy Speaklonger. Using this service would guarantee a connection to your OneSimCard mobile phone from the U.S and Canada for 20c/min and it is very easy to use without switching your LD carrier.

86. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Can I use a OneSimCard enabled phone in Japan, South Korea and Myanmar?

All OneSimCard international SIM cards work in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Myanmar, Singapore and other couuntries where 2G networks no longer available. These countries use 3G/WCDMA networks, so only phones with the specific 3G/WCDMA/HSDPA/UMTS 2100 frequency will work in these countries. Most modern smart phones have this option today including all iPhones. You should check your phone specification to make sure your phone has this 3G band,

OneSimCard offers cell phones with the necessary 3G band for Japan and South Korea that also work in every other country where we provide service:

87. Rates and Cost Questions
    • How much does it cost to receive a call with OneSimCard?

Receiving calls is free in over 150 countries when received on your primary European phone number, including in most of Europe. To receive a call on your U.S. number or other Personal Extra Number, there is an additional per minute rate added. View all international cell phone rates.

If you receive a call through a Common Access Number or Personal Extra Number (such as a U.S. number) there is an additional charge of 20c/min. In countries with free incoming calls this would be your only charge per call.

All incoming SMS text messages are free to receive when received on your primary European number. Add 9 cent per SMS when receving text on US or Canada PEN.

88. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Are there any international toll-free or local Common Access Numbers (CAN)?

OneSimCard international mobile service does not require dialing any access numbers when calling from international locations, you simply dial as you normally would when you're abroad. However, when somebody is calling to your OneSimCard phone there is an option for them to call you through a Toll Free or local number rather than dialing your European mobile number directly, which could be expensive for them. This call will instead be charged to your OneSimCard account at an additional 20c/min to the incoming rate in the country where you are receiving the call.

When someone calls you through a Common Access Number they receive a prompt where they then enter your primary European number starting with 372 to reach you. For a direct connection, we recommend adding a Personal Extra Number (PEN) instead.

At this time we have Toll Free and/or Local Common Access Numbers in the following countries:

      • Argentina
