11. How To Use Questions
    • How do I recharge using 1SIM Fund?

First you need to make sure you have funds in your 1SIM Money Fund.

You can do this by going to your 1SIM Fund menu and adding money from your PayPal, Visa Cards enrolled in Verified By Visa program, Master Card enrolled in the Secure Code program or Bitcoin.

Once you have money in your fund, then you can add funds to the phone service by one of the following methods:

To recharge from your onesimcard.com portal:
      1. Go to Recharge Menu and recharge your SIM
        or
      2. Set up auto-recharge in Recharge Settings Menu

To recharge from the phone using 1SIM Fund:

Before being able to add money using 1SIM Fund from the phone, you need to log in to your onesimcard.com portal and create a PIN in 1SIM FUND menu.

      To recharge from the phone:
      • From the OneSimCard menu of your phone, scroll down to Add Credit and select this option.
You will see 'Please enter PIN' on the screen.
        Enter 4 digit 1SIM Fund PIN + * + Amount + press the OK.
For example, if you need to add $50 and the PIN is 8654:
You would dial 8654*50 and press OK. In few seconds you will get a confirmation message with your new balance.
      • Alternatively you can do the same from the main dial menu of the phone by dialing: 098+PIN+*+Amount+ Talk (Send) button.
For example, if you need to add $50 and the PIN is 8654:
You would dial 0988654*50 and press TALK. In few seconds you will get a confirmation message with your new balance.
            * is a star character located on the keypad

Money will be deducted from your 1SIM Fund balance.
12. Troubleshooting Questions
    • I can't send SMS from my iPhone

There is a known bug with iPhone phone book. If you are trying to text to a contact that is entered in the phone book, and the contact is not entered in proper international number format, the SMS will not go through even if you just enter the number in the SMS menu directly and properly.
Please edit the record in the phone book to be +CountryCode_Number. It needs to have the + character in front, which is an equivalent of 00.

You will also need to delete all recent attempts to send SMS to this number from the Messaging menu. It should be no conversation or attempts to send SMS left in the phone to this number.

We understand that this is very frustrating, but do not know why Apple will not fix it. This problem affects only Apple phones.

Example: for US Number 1-617-600-8250 you should have entered in the address book: +16176008250
Delete existing text conversation after fixing the phone book record.
You can always test your SMS by sending SMS to OneSimCard Support number +16176008250 from your OneSimCard phone. This will create an automated ticket in the system and you will know if the message was delivered or not. You will be charged regular SMS rate for this message.
13. OneSimCard Rentals
    • How does the global cell phone rental program work?

It's actually quite simple to rent a OneSimCard international cell phone phone bundle to use during your travels. Just tell us the date you need the phone and we'll ship a complete package directly to your door. Your package will include a mobile phone programmed with an international phone number, extra battery, charger, international travel plug adapter, holster, OneSimCard User Guide, $5 worth of initial airtime, and a US Mail return envelope. When you return from your trip, simply return the package in the envelope provided - just add postage.

Update: As of March 5, 2018, all rentals come with a prepaid USPS Priority Mail return label. Simply attach it to the provided return envelope with your rentals inside and drop it off at the nearest post office. It’s that easy!

When you tell us the country of your travel, we will select the SIM card type for you that offers the lowest calling rates in this country.

14. OneSim VoIP
    • When making an outgoing call how do I select which way the call should go: through regular roaming or through OneSim VoIP?

To make an outgoing call using OneSim VoIP, you need to be registered on a Wi-Fi network and have the OneSim VoIP app running on your phone. You should make the call using the OneSim VoIP app dial pad. To make a call the regular roaming way, you should make a call from your regular phone dial pad.

16. How To Use Questions
    • There is no OneSimCard Menu (SIM Toolkit) in my Android phone. How can I fix this?

Some recent Android upgrades to versions 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 have a bug causing the OneSimCard Menu, labeled as SIM Toolkit, to be disabled.

If you do not see the SIM Toolkit app in your Android phone, please try doing the following:

Go to Settings>Security>Setup SIM Card Lock>Lock SIM Card. It will ask for the default SIM PIN. Enter 0000. Power off the phone and turn it back on. The SIM Toolkit app will then become available, though it might take 1-2 minutes for the phone to display it.

On Android version 5.1 go to Settings > SIM Cards > SIM Toolkit

Once you have access to the SIM Toolkit, select it, scroll down to Settings, enter 1101 and press confirm. Your phone will now be able to dial normally.

17. How To Use Questions
    • I have a Verizon or Sprint "World Phone" from BlackBerry, Samsung, LG KP series, etc., can I use it with OneSimCard?

Yes, if you have a World Phone from Verizon or Sprint such as the BlackBerry (Bold, Curve, Tour, Pearl, Storm, 8830); LG (Fathom); LG KP Series, HTC (Touch, Ozone, Imagio); Samsung (Saga, Intrepid, Renown) you can use it with OneSimCard service. It may only require the special dialing instructions below to make outgoing calls (there is no additional charge). Receiving calls is the same as with any other phone.

To make an outgoing call you may need to do the following:

Initiate your call by sending a free SMS message from the regular SMS menu (not the OneSimCard Menu) of a OneSimCard enabled phone:

      To: 9146
      Message: 00 + Country Code + Number

For example, to call to Boston USA you should go to the SMS menu of the phone and send a message:

      To: 9146
      Message: 0015844440686
After your SMS is sent wait approximately 3-10 seconds. You will get a callback as usual and your call will be connected to the destination number.

      Please Note:

      1. You can not send this SMS from the SMS OneSimCard Menu of the phone, it must be sent using your phone's standard SMS function. You will not be charged for sending this SMS to 9146.

      2. If you see on the screen that the message has not been sent, make sure that the SMS settings of your phone are correct and that the SMS Center number is set to: +3725099000

18. OneSim VoIP
    • How does OneSim VoIP work when the call is received?

When someone dials your OneSim VoIP enabled Personal Extra Number (PEN), the system will first check if your OneSimCard phone is registered with the OneSim VoIP app on a Wi-Fi network. If it is registered, the call will be sent using VoIP. If the OneSim VoIP app is not running or it is not registered on a Wi-Fi network, then the call will be sent using the standard OneSimCard roaming network and charged our standard roaming rates.

20. Rates and Cost Questions
    • How much does it cost someone in the US or Canada to call to my OneSimCard cell phone?

Many U.S. and Canadian carriers can charge more than $3/minute to connect to an Estonian mobile number, the primary mobile number for a OneSimCard global SIM card. Your SIM card includes a U.S. number which will be much less expensive for people to call.

Callers can also use one of the Common Access Numbers (CAN) that we provide to you free of charge in more than 10 countries. Your OneSimCard account will simply be charged an additional 20c/min to the incoming rate in the country you are in to receive those calls. There is also the option of ordering a dedicated Personal Extra Number (PEN) in Canada and many other countries that will forward all calls directly to your OneSimCard cell phone. You can see the list of countries where PENs are available here:

You can order a Personal Extra Number when placing your order or later at any time by logging in to your account. Visit our Rates & Coverage page and choose any country to view all rates.

If you would prefer for the caller to pay for calls made, we recommend they buy Speaklonger. Using this service would guarantee a connection to your OneSimCard mobile phone from the U.S and Canada for 20c/min and it is very easy to use without switching your LD carrier.
