SMS messaging usually works without any additional setup of the phone.
In rare cases when there are issues sending or receiving text messages, please look at the following:

Problem with Sending SMS:

• Incorrect SMSC number (SMS Service Center Address) in handset settings.

SMSC number should be set as follows:

1. For Standard  and Plus OneSimCard SIM: +3725099000 for all countries except:

a. China:  +85290296747

2. For the Expedition (former Data & Roam) SIM as well as for Europe & More SIM: +37256100041

With Apple iPhones to check SMSC:

From the phone dialer Dial *#5005*7672# 

You will see the SMSC set currently on the phone. 

To change the SMSC on Iphone dial: 

Plus and Standard SIMs: **5005*7672*+3725099000# for all countries except China and **5005*7672*+85290296747# if in China.

• NOTE: It is important to have the "+" symbol entered in front of the SMSC number.
• You can find locations of the Message Settings menus for different phone models here.

If your phone requires the name of Message Center Name enter: SMSC
SMS lifetime is short - must be at least 2 hours or set to Maximum settings.
Try sending SMS from OneSimCard menu

 Problem with Receiving SMS:

• Receiving Handset does not have enough free memory for incoming SMS.
• Receiving Handset was turned off or out of the coverage area during SMS lifetime set on the sending phone - usually 2 hours.
• Sender's SMS provider does not have an agreement with the receiving network.

To make a call:

• Dial 00-CountryCode-AreaCode-Number and press the TALK/SEND button.
  Example: To call OneSimCard Support in the USA you would dial 00 1 617 3138888 and press TALK/SEND. 

With Europe & More, Univesal and eSIM World that do not use the callback to make a call, you will just get connected.
 
With OneSimCard Plus SIM or Expedition (formerly Data & Roam) SIMs:

After pressing the TALK/SEND button you will see a variable message on the screen (for example 'Wait for call') which you can ignore and your phone will ring back in a few seconds. Answer this ring as you normally would answer any incoming call. Your call will then be connected.

For Physical 3-in-1 DataMax, and DataMax eSIM cards, you can place calls using our low cost OneSIM VoIP service. OneSim VoIP costs much less than traditional voice roaming.

For Universal, Expedition, & eSIM World ONLY: Just dial 099 "Send" from your OneSimCard phone and in few minutes the balance will be displayed on the screen of your phone. Customers with iPhones can use OneSimCard Assist app to check balances and many other things.

In order to add airtime instantly, simply register a credit card with us on our website.

There are several ways to add airtime to your OneSimCard service.
Automatic Recharge - recommended:

1. Just log on to your account at www.onesimcard.com and set auto-recharge in the Recharge Menu. Funds will be added to your account when your balance drops below the threshold you set.

From the phone using your credit card (Universal, Expedition and eSIM World only):

1. a) From the phone dial pad dial 098YYYY*XX. Talk. YYYY = Last 4 digits of the credit card used last at OneSimCard.com. YY = Amount from 25 to 99 USD

 For example, if you need to add $50 and the last 4 digits of the credit card registered with us is  8654:
You would dial 0988654*50 and press TALK. In few seconds you will get a confirmation message with  your new balance.

From the OneSimCard.com web interface:

1. You must log in at www.onesimcard.com each time you wish to add funds.
2. The minimum recharge amount is US $25.00
3. Using Recharge PIN purchased from a dealer:

If you purchased a recharge PIN from OneSimCard Authorized dealer, you can recharge your account from OneSimCard handset from OneSimCard - Add Credit menu. When the Add Credit menu is selected, enter the 10-digit PIN and press the Talk (Send) button. 

You can order discount Call, Text and Data packages from your OneSimCard web account after you have received and activated your OneSimCard. 

NOTE: for DataMax and DataMax eSIM, there are no call or text messaging discount package, since these are already deeply discounted through the 1SIM VoIP App.

To order a discount package for your SIM card, follow these steps:

1. Log into your account at OneSimCard.com
2. Click on the My SIM Cards menu links
3. If you have more than one SIM card, make sure the SIM Card you’d like to activate a discount package for is selected
4. Navigate to the Discount Service Plans section and select a discount package you would like to activate
5. Click Activate Now to activate the selected package immediately or Activate Later to schedule the activation on a particular date.

Future data plan activation:

a. You can set up the maximum number of times data packages to be activated automatically when the package is used up or expired.

b. You can set the date after which no packages will be activated, so when your travel is over no data packages will be activated and no charges will follow.

Note: eSIM World data plan activation may vary from regular Universal or Expedition SIM cards. Please follow directions on the account page.

Through a unique partnership with Viber, your primary OneSimCard number (+372) can be called free of charge for any Viber user! (requires activation and special dialing instructions, see below)

HOW: When this feature is activated, Viber users can call OneSimCard numbers for free by using a special dialing format +372800XXXXXXXX, where XXXXXXXX is the rest of the OneSimCard phone number after 372. For example, a OneSimCard user with the phone number +37212345678 should be called by dialing +37280012345678.

TO ACTIVATE: Log in to your OneSimCard account and go to the My SIM Cards menu. Scroll down to where it says "Incoming Viber Calls" and click Enable to activate this option.

COST: The call is free for the Viber user. The cost of receiving the Viber call is the same as receiving a call through a Personal Extra Number (PEN), i.e. the regular incoming call rate in the country you are in plus 20c/min. In countries with free incoming calls, like Italy or Japan, the cost will be just 20c/min.

PLEASE NOTE:

• When dialing in Viber, if Viber user chooses the Estonian country code in the menu then they should just dial 800XXXXXXXX because the +372 is added automatically.
• If the “free calls to OneSimCard from Viber” option is not activated for a particular OneSimCard number, when a Viber user dials +372800XXXXXXXX they will hear an automatic message: “The mobile phone is either switched off or out of coverage area.”

To activate a Data Plan, log in to your OneSimCard account and go to the My SIM Cards menu. Scroll down to the Discount Plan section, select the Plan and click Activate. The cost of the Plan will be deducted from the SIM card balance. If there is not enough money on the SIM, you will need to add funds before you will be able to activate the Plan.

• Data not used during Plan period will be lost.

There are two sets of countries where Zone B data plans are offered. The “Advantage Data Allowance” countries have a data allowance twice as large as the “Standard Data Allowance” countries. The maximum monthly data allowance in the “Advantages Data Allowance” countries is 2000 MB, while the maximum monthly data allowance in the “Standard Data Allowance” countries is 1000 MB. All 4 types of Data Plans are available in all countries where the data Plans are offered.

To activate a Data Plan, log in to your OneSimCard account and go to the My SIM Cards menu. Scroll down to the Discount Plan Section, select the Plan and click Activate. The cost of the Plan will be deducted from the SIM card balance. If there is not enough money on the SIM, you will need to add funds before you will be able to activate the Plan.

Once you activate any Data Plan, the amount charged is not refundable.

Data not being used up during the Plan period will be lost.

After the Data Plan expires, i.e. the time period ends or you use up your data allotment, you will be charged the standard data rate in that country unless you activate a new Data Plan.

Data will be charged in 100kB increments.
