    • What if I return the Rental Package, but some of the items are missing or damaged?

You will be charged for missing or damaged items in the package. The cost of the replacement items is provided in the packing slip of the rental package.

To avoid paying replacement costs, consider purchasing a rental insurance. View full terms and conditions here.
32. OneSimCard Rentals
    • What Start Date, End Date and shipping method should I choose when placing my cell phone rental order?

All orders are shipped out based on the rental Start Date that you enter and your shipping method. The Start Date is the latest day that you will need your phone rental before you leave for your trip (usually a day or two before you leave). The End Date is the day your package must be postmarked by to avoid any late return fees. Rentals will ship out with enough time to make sure you receive your order a couple of days prior to your Start Date.

For example, if you place your rental order on August 15 with a Start Date of August 30 and choose Overnight shipping, we will ship your package on August 27 so it arrives on August 28.

35. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • What Is the Difference Between "Direct Dial" and "Callback Dial" calling?

Direct Dial calling allows the caller to enter the international  call prefix, country calling code and telephone number and then be directly connected to the person they are calling. This is how you dial when using your regular mobile service. Direct Dial Calling is standard on the OneSimCard Europe & More, OneSimCard Universal and eSIM.

Callback calling also allows the caller to enter the international  call prefix, country calling code and telephone number. After the called number is entered, the user immediately receives an incoming call connecting the user to person called. Callback is very simple to use and allows for low cost calling on the OneSimCard Plus and OneSimCard Expedition (formerly Data & Roam). Callback does not increase the connection time. It is the same as with Direct Dial.

      * Indicates countries where local government regulations require proof of residency to purchase a PEN. PENs in these countries can be ordered for 6 and 12 month periods; PENs in all other countries are available for 1 month or longer.

Have phone numbers in as many as 61 different countries on one SIM card! You can also set your Caller ID to display a Personal Extra Number instead of your primary European number.

You can view a complete list of available numbers  here

PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional charge of 20c/min to receive calls on your U.S. number or other PEN (except for a UK-Mobile PEN which only adds 25c per call). All SMS text messages must be sent to your primary European number, except for USA, Canada and UK Mobile SMS Enabled PENs. Receiving SMS on USA or Canada SMS Enabled PENs costs $0.09 per SMS. Receiving SMS on UK Mobile SMS enabled PEN is free. UK Mobile SMS enabled PEN will not show the outgoing SMS caller ID when used with the Europe & More SIM or the Expedition SIM. It can only show the UK number on the caller ID when used with the Universal SIM.

Free US and Canada PENs issued before December 8th 2014 will not accept text message. They could be used only for voice calls.

Starting June 3rd 2015, OneSimCard offers new USA and Canada PENs capable of receiving SMS. These PENs can be ordered separately and carry a charge of 9 cent per received SMS.

Starting January 1st 2018, OneSimCard offers special new USA - SMS for Bank verifications PENs. These USA and Canada PENs are capable of receiving SMS from most US and Canada financial institutions -most banks, Paypal, credit cards etc, as well as some apps like Uber ( but not from Whatsap).  These numbers are also SIM VOIP capable and will work as a regular US PEN for incoming calls and SMS. SMS received on such PENs can be configured so the copy of the text is always forwarded to an email of your choice. This means that you can receive these Bank, Apps and Institutions SMS not only when you travel but any time by email too. Bank Verifications PENs are ordered separately. You can learn more about these special numbers here.

38. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Do I need to change any settings on my phone when going abroad?

Some phones do require manual change of bands. If you were using the phone in USA or Canada (bands 850/1900) and then go to Europe (bands 900/1800) you might need to change bands. In most phones it is done in Settings - Networks menu.

When outside of North America in most countries make sure you have set:
      • Bands to 900/1800 GSM
      • Network selection to automatic
If your phone is not a quad-band phone, please make sure that the bands of your phone are those required in the country of your travel. You can look it up here.

Most newer phones do not require any manual band changes, but older phones like Motorola V66 and some others do.
39. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Can I use a OneSimCard enabled phone in Japan, South Korea and Myanmar?

All OneSimCard international SIM cards work in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Myanmar, Singapore and other couuntries where 2G networks no longer available. These countries use 3G/WCDMA networks, so only phones with the specific 3G/WCDMA/HSDPA/UMTS 2100 frequency will work in these countries. Most modern smart phones have this option today including all iPhones. You should check your phone specification to make sure your phone has this 3G band,

OneSimCard offers cell phones with the necessary 3G band for Japan and South Korea that also work in every other country where we provide service:
