Yes. If you would like to upgrade your Standard, Plus, Europe & More, Expedition version SIM card to a Universal, DataMax, or DataMax eSIM SIM card, or upgrade a regular size SIM card to a micro-SIM card (for example, to use in an iPhones) then place your order online by selecting the product option on our Mobile Accessories page here. Before purchasing, please ensure you have verified that your device is unlocked and one of the supported devices. Installation is completed by using your phone to scan the QR code of the purchased eSIM.  You may scan the QR code by displaying it on the computer screen, another device, or a printed copy.

If you’ve already purchased OneSimCard eSIM, you can see full installation instructions and access your QR code from the Recharge menu in your online account. Make sure eSIM is selected in the Select SIM Card drop down menu.

In countries where the cost of using mobile Internet Data is below 20 c/MB, the cost of using SIM VoIP over the data is comparable or less than the actual calling rate from the country.

As a rule of thumb, the SIM VoIP will use 1MB /Min of talk time. So, if the cost of Data in the country is 10 c/MB, then 1 minute SIM VoIP call will cost you 12 cents /minute. You need to have a 3G connection in order for SIM VoIP to work this way. 

There are two ways for SMS message to be sent:

• From the OneSimCard application menu called OneSimCard - TravelSMS. To send the message, you need to locate OneSimCard menu on the phone and then scroll down to TravelSMS menu. Sending text message this way is the least expensive and will cost you 15 cents per message from any country.
• Usual way from SMS sending menu of the phone. It cost 40 cents per text message from most countries with the exception of few countries where the rates are higher.

Bear in mind that sending SMS messages to the abbreviated special SMS destinations like voting, music downloads, etc. will cost you $9.00 per message.

 

This does not apply to DataMax SIM cards.

Automatic Recharge - recommended:

1. Just log on to your account at www.onesimcard.com and set auto-recharge in the Recharge Menu. Funds will be added to your account when your balance drops below the threshold you set.

From the phone using your credit card (Universal, Expedition and eSIM World only):

1. a) From the phone dial pad dial 098YYYY*XX. Talk. YYYY = Last 4 digits of the credit card used last at OneSimCard.com. YY = Amount from 25 to 99 USD

 For example, if you need to add $50 and the last 4 digits of the credit card registered with us is  8654:
You would dial 0988654*50 and press TALK. In few seconds you will get a confirmation message with  your new balance.

From the phone using 1SIM Fund:
 a) From the phone dialpad dial 098YYYY*XX. Talk. YYYY -  4 digits PIN you created in 1SIM FUND menu. YY Amount from 25 to 99 USD

 For example, if you need to add $50 and the 1SIM FUND PIN is  8654:
You would dial 0988654*50 and press TALK. In few seconds you will get a confirmation message with  your new balance.

From the OneSimCard.com web interface:

1. You must log in at www.onesimcard.com each time you wish to add funds.
2. The minimum recharge amount is US $25.00
3. Using Recharge PIN purchased from a dealer:

If you purchased a recharge PIN from OneSimCard Authorized dealer, you can recharge your account from OneSimCard handset from OneSimCard - Add Credit menu. When the Add Credit menu is selected, enter the 10-digit PIN and press the Talk (Send) button. 

Yes. To reduce fraud and to protect you from over-spending, there is 30-day credit card spending limit set for each individual account. You will only be able to charge up to a certain amount during any 30-day period. You can see your current limit by logging in to your OneSimCard account and going to the Purchase History menu. There, you will find a Credit Card Authorization form available for download. If you would like to increase your monthly credit card spending limit, please download the Authorization form and submit it back to OneSimCard as instructed on the form.

We strongly suggest that you set your monthly credit card limit before going overseas as dealing with the form on the road can be much more difficult.
