31. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Can I send SMS text messages to a OneSimCard enabled phone by email?

      Yes, you can send SMS messages by sending an email to 372XXXXXXXX@sms.onesimcard.com, where 372XXXXXXXX is the 11-digit OneSimCard mobile phone number you are trying to reach.

      Please note that message should be sent in English characters only and no attachments to this email are allowed.

      This option of sending SMS by email provides a completely free way of communicating, as it is usually free for you to send the email and costs nothing for the OneSimCard customer to receive it. The maximum number of daily received SMS sent by email or from the web per SIM is 25.

       

      Starting June 3rd, 2014 OneSimCard offers new USA and Canada PENs capable of receiving SMS ( Text Messages) . These PENs carry a charge of 9 cent per received SMS. These PENs can receive only SMS sent from a mobile device and will not receive texts sent from web sites of Gmail, Yahoo, banks etc. If you need to receive alerts from the web site sent to your mobile phone, we suggest you to select the alert option by email and provide OneSimCard email of your phone 372XXXXXXXX@sms.onesimcard.com, which you will receive as an SMS.

       

      Starting January 10th, 2019 OneSimCard offers new UK Mobile PENs capable of receiving SMS and sending SMS. Receiving text on UK Mobile SMS number is free.

32. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Can I check my Voice Mail from a phone other than my OneSimCard phone?

      Yes. You can access the Voice Mail from other phones.

      First you need to set up a voicemail password by either calling from your OneSimCard phone or logging in to your account and clicking on the Voicemail link.

      Once the password is set up, you can dial voice mail access number:

      Toll Free access number for customers in the U.S. or Canada to retrieve voicemail for free: 1-866-703-4770

      Local U.S. number for worldwide customers to retrieve voicemail: 1-213-805-2905

      New Online Voicemail Feature: You can now listen to voicemail for free by logging in to your account and clicking on the Voicemail link. There, you can also set voicemail to be emailed to you as an audio file and change passwords and other settings.

      IMPORTANT NOTE: Voicemail messages will be automatically purged from your inbox after one month, so please be sure to save the content of any important messages before they are deleted.
33. OneSim VoIP
    • What is the cost of calling between two OneSim VoIP phones?

      Calls between two OneSim VoIP phones are absolutely free.
34. OneSimCard General Service Questions
    • Can I send an SMS to or from a Common Access Number or Personal Extra Number?

      You can't send SMS to a Common Access Number (CAN). Common Access Numbers and majority of Personal Extra Numbers are for Voice Calls only.
      Starting December 8th, 2014 all new USA and Canada Personal Extra Numbers are capable of receiving mobile SMS. SMS received on US or Canada PEN will incur 9 cent charge.
      Starting January 10th, 2019 UK Mobile SMS numbers are capable of receiving mobile SMS.
      We recommend that SMS senders use our free online SMS or email-to-SMS functions as described in the user manual and our FAQs.

      Note: US and Canada PEN can receive only actual mobile SMS from mobile phones. Alert and verification SMS sent from web sites like Google, Yahoo or your bank will not be delivered to US or Canada PENs due to the way these web sites send there messages. 
      If you require some alerts SMS sent from banks and other institutions, we offer special US-SMS Bank Verification PEN that will be able to receive SMS from mobile numbers as well as from institutions used for 2 step verification processes.


35. Troubleshooting Questions
    • I have a OneSimCard SIM and my phone will not register on a roaming network, what's wrong?

      Sometimes when moving from the USA, Canada or Mexico to another country, the SIM card will need to be reset to properly register on a new country roaming network.

      • If you have the OneSimCard Menu on your phone (it may be called Sim Application Menu on iPhones or SIM Toolkit on Androids), go to the menu, scroll down to Settings and enter Service Code 2003 and confirm, then Code 000 and confirm. For older SIM cards after this enter Service Code 1101 and confirm. Turn the phone off and then back on. 

      • If you do not have access to the OneSimCard Menu then turn off your phone, remove the battery for 20 seconds, reinstall the battery and then turn back on your phone.
36. OneSim VoIP
    • Do I need to have a OneSimCard SIM card installed in my phone to use OneSim VoIP?

      No. OneSimCard SIM is not required to be installed in the phone for OneSim VoIP to be used. However, you do need to have OneSimCard account with a VoIP capable PEN.
37. eSIM
    • Can I use Facetime and iMessage with eSIM?

      Yes, you can use Facetime and iMessage with eSIM, which now offers a mobile number ID.


      Additionally, the eSIM data service can be used for the actual data part of your communications. So, when you are installing eSIM on iPhone, you can select the Primary service for Facetime and iMessage and then if your selected eSIM to be your primary data service, the communications will go over eSIM mobile data.
38. Ordering Questions
    • How do I order Discount Call, Text and Data plans?

      You can order discount Call, Text and Data packages from your OneSimCard web account after you have received and activated your OneSimCard.

      To order a discount package for your SIM card, follow these steps:

      1. Log into your account at OneSimCard.com
      2. Click on the My SIM Cards menu links
      3. If you have more than one SIM card, make sure the SIM Card you’d like to activate a discount package for is selected
      4. Navigate to the Discount Service Plans section and select a discount package you would like to activate
      5. Click Activate Now to activate the selected package immediately or Activate Later to schedule the activation on a particular date

      Future data plan activation:

      a. You can set up the maximum number of times  data packages to be activated automatically when the package is used up or expired.
      b. You can set the date after which no packages will be activated, so when your travel is over no data packages will be activated and no charges will follow.

      Note: eSIM data plan activation may vary from regular SIM cards. Please follow directions on the account page.

39. OneSim VoIP
    • Is text messaging available on the OneSim VoIP App?

      OneSimCard SIM VoIP users with US and Canadian numbers may now send and receive text messages over the OneSim VoIP app on iPhone and Android. The cost to sending a message is $0.05 per text to most countries. Receiving message is $0.05.

40. OneSim VoIP
    • I have more than one Personal Extra Number (PEN). Can I use different PENs for OneSim VoIP?

      If you have more than one OneSim VoIP enabled PEN you can switch between these PENs for the purpose of the OneSim VoIP account. This option is available in the My SIM Cards menu in your online account.
